If it cost you
anything...even a penny, it wouldn't really be a "gift"
would it?
The Bible also says; "By
grace are you saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves, it
is the GIFT of God, not of works..."
There it is again,
the "GIFT of God is eternal
life". It's not what you do, it's what God did
for you.
Remember that you cannot earn a
"gift" so you cannot "earn" your way to heaven.
